Finance  No one has more influence over the financial markets in the US than the Federal Reserve Board, which gathers information, analyzes that information, and makes its decisions at its Washington, DC headquarters. But, the Fed is not alone in Washington in shaping financial markets: the Treasury Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission play very important roles as well. And, of course, major banks, brokerages, and venture capital firms operate throughout the DC metropolitan area.
