Semester Info

Every semester at Cornell in Washington is a little different from every other semester. Yet, the more things change, the more they remain the same. The two core courses of the program are offered every semester, while the electives offered vary from semester to semester. The Cornell Urban Scholars in Washington Program is offered each spring. You will arrange an internship at an exciting work location in Washington, which may be a place already in our externship directory or it may be one you find on your own. We will have a set of extracurricular activities planned, some of which we repeat every semester and some of which vary.

For specific details on the courses, the costs, and the activities planned for program participants both for this semester and next (when available), choose the appropriate link below.

Participants in the program use public transportation in the Washington DC metropolitan area to complete class assignments, unsupervised by the University, at cultural, governmental, and other public locations.
