Internship Guidelines
 In order to maximize the benefit you will receive from your Washington experience as a whole, Summer in Washington has adopted the following guidelines for internships:
- 3 to 5 days a week is recommended, depending on course schedule, to allow time for academic work, for touring Washington, and for the occasional trip home.
- No academic credit is earned for the internship, neither from Summer in Washington, nor any other department.
- Internships may be paid or unpaid.
- Internships should begin during the first week of the program and should end during the last week the program.
