- We recommend students work three days a week, Monday thru Wednesday, about 20 hours per week. This schedule allows time for academic work, for touring Washington, and for the occasional trip to Ithaca or home. Summer participants can work more hours, but must consider their class schedule when setting up work commitments.
- No academic credit is earned for the internship.
- Internships can be either paid or unpaid. If you take a paid internship, you should be careful not to let it affect your academic focus.
Internships should begin within one week of the start of classes and should end during the last week of classes.
